Terrace View Residence
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA
Perched in Trousdale Estates, Terrace View is a residential landscape shaped by view, light, and the seamless relationship between house and garden. The site design extends the architecture outward through terraces, planting, and outdoor living spaces that support both everyday family life and a distinctly Southern California sense of ease.
Modern house with an outdoor patio area featuring seating, a dining table, and a view of a distant horizon with trees and sky.
Modern backyard with a swimming pool, outdoor dining area with chairs, a seating area with pillows, a fire pit, and lush green hedges and trees in the background.
View from a modern balcony or terrace overlooking a city skyline at sunset, with decorative planters and woven chairs near glass doors.
Luxury outdoor patio at sunset with modern sofa, throw blankets, and lanterns near a reflecting pool, overlooking a city view with trees and buildings.
The landscape approach is restrained and site-responsive, reinforcing the clarity of the architecture while allowing the setting to remain central to the experience of the home.
Peter Emerson led the project from design to completion while employed at RIOS.
