Our Approach
Palm Canyon explores desert living through the relationship between architecture and landscape. Set in Palm Springs’ Old Las Palmas neighborhood, the residential enclave pairs intimate outdoor spaces with the expansive presence of the surrounding mountains.
Arrival and Experience.
Courtyards give each casita a sheltered landscape of its own. Breeze block screens filter sunlight and lend texture to the edges between private spaces and their surroundings. Planting softens these boundaries, bringing the garden into the daily experience of the home.
Views and Connectivity
Sliding pocket doors open living spaces toward private gardens and pools. Views shift between nearby planting and distant mountain silhouettes, connecting the scale of domestic life with the larger desert setting.
The project draws on Palm Springs’ modernist traditions through its attention to light, enclosure, and outdoor living. Architecture and landscape work together to create a retreat that feels both private and connected to its place.
